I'm surfin' the net, looking for preseason predictions on the Gamecocks' chances this upcoming football season:
- NationalChamps.net - picked to finish 2nd in the SEC East with a 9-3 record
- FoxSports.com and CollegeFootballNews.com have USC finishing 4th in the east, but that's only going 2-6 in the conference and 6-6 overall
- CNNSI.com predicts a tough season coming off of last year's 5-7 record: "Even with eight home games and an invigorated Holtz, it will take an upset or two for the Gamecocks to squeeze into a bowl game."
